Clubroot Resistant Collection
Clubroot is a soil-borne disease caused by a fungus 'Plasmodiophora brassicae'. It can survive in soil for up to 20 years even if no brassicas are grown. It is easily transmiited via soil on tools and shoes or by infected bare-root transplants which may not show symptoms. If your soil has club-root, the only way you can grow brassicas successfully is by using resistant varieties and/or increasing the soil pH to at least 7.0.
